Freedom Team of Volunteers
For people and their pooches alike. Thank you for your interest in volunteering. Freedom Greyhound Rescue is a 501 c(3) organization that operates solely by volunteers.
Our mission is to provide excellent animal care, and find suitable loving homes, for unwanted, dismissed and/or retired racing greyhounds via a well screened adoption program.
Foster Homes
Foster homes are essential to Freedom Greyhound Rescue. Without foster homes we are unable to take greyhounds from the track into our program. Please consider fostering. It will be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life.
The foster home code of ethics:

I agree to provide my time as a foster in the best interest for Freedom Greyhound Rescue of Aurora (FGR).

I agree to place honesty and integrity above all else and to promote FGR.

I agree to comply with all written policies and guidelines that have been provided relevant to my fostering.

I agree to maintain an impartial, honorable and cooperative relationship with FGR in matters relating to officers, board or activities committee, or other volunteers.

I agree to remain neutral regarding greyhound racing while representing FGR.

I agree that my position as a foster home will not be used to grant special privileges or benefit any person or group(s).

I agree that my position as a foster home will not be used to share confidential information with groups of like interests.

I agree to provide a safe atmosphere for greyhounds and people alike.

I agree to supervision by lead volunteers or officers at all events that my foster dog attends.

I agree to allow an Freedom Greyhound Rescue Officer or representative to visit my home as deemed necessary while fostering.
Participant
While we realize everyone may not be able to become a volunteer or provide a foster home, you can still support Freedom Greyhound Rescue of Aurora by being a participant at our events and activities. We would love to see you there - Please join us for all the fun!

Your annual $25 membership will help to provide medical attention, vaccinations, food, toys and blankets for greyhounds awaiting their forever homes!

You can make your payment via PayPal or US Mail.
PayPal: Select the "membership" button below. A new window will open, enter "$25.00" in the amount box. Enter "Annual Membership" in the "write a note" section.

You can sponsor a greyhound in foster care with Freedom Greyhound Rescue by viewing the current greyhounds in foster care on Petfinder.
Simply select the greyhound you would like to sponsor and click the "Sponsor Me" button. Your sponsored greyhound will be forever greytfull for your generous support and sponsorship!
